Christmas Novellas: An Unforgettable Holiday by Joanne Dannon #Giveaway

Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.

If you love sweet, clean romances, then my holiday novellas are perfect reading for the holidays.

What was your favorite scene to write?

In A Magical Christmas in Jerusalem I wrote a scene in which the hero’s grandparents tell the heroine about their life in France during the Second World War and their work in the French Resistance. I cried during it and was very emotional at the end or writing it. My author friend, Charmaine Ross, confessed she'd teared up when she read it which touched me greatly. The scene may not be fun and flirty, which is my usual style of writing but I do love the raw emotions of this scene.

What is your dream cast for your book?

I used a French model (I don’t have his name) to inspire me to create Jacques Lenoir in my Christmas book. And the gorgeous Raoul Bova to create Gabe Olivari. One of my favourite parts of creating characters is looking through pics on the Internet. There are some seriously good looking and talented people out there!

What are you working on now?

I’m launching Hannah’s story, Forever Mine, in April 2017. "It’s never a good idea to fall for your best friend’s brother or so they say." We met Hannah in Together At Last, she’s Amielle’s BFF and has had a long standing crush on Amielle’s brother, Zac. She’s had enough of pinning over a bloke who only sees her as his little sister’s friend and decides to move on. But then circumstances have Hannah and Zac spending one weekend together and a night of fun leads to more than just emotional consequences. I loved writing this book, Hannah is so much fun and the perfect gal to bring out the best in Zac!

Tell us a little bit about your book...

An Unforgettable Holiday features two novellas which are feel good, heartwarming stories and perfect for the holiday season. They’re clean, with a splash of faith and perfect to gift to your mum, aunty, grandma or your romance loving BFF. I loved writing these novellas and set them in two of my favourite cities – Jerusalem and New York. I have featured Australian heroines who, when travelling, find love when they least expect it.

A Magical Christmas In Jerusalem

Australian project manager Kiara Lonsdale is career focussed and determined to provide and care for the grandmother who raised her. Taking time off work to vacation has never been high on her agenda, but this year she’s made an exception. She’s helping her gran fulfil a life-long dream by accompanying her on a Christmas to the Holy Land tour.

Jacques Lenoir and his extended family run tours in Israel and he’s committed to their business. Jacques feels responsible for his grandparents’ welfare since they risked their lives, and others’, as operatives in the French Resistance, during the War.

But over romantic dinners in the desert, camel rides, and mud baths at the Dead Sea, sparks fly between Kiara and Jacques. Will this only be a holiday romance or will a touch of Christmas magic make it last a lifetime?

A Magical Chanukah in New York
Lisa Sassoon has shunned the scandal of her loser-ex cheating on her by escaping to New York. Instead of sightseeing, she’s become a recluse focusing on helping the less fortunate at a homeless shelter.

Gabe Olivari, entrepreneur and savvy business New Yorker, can’t let go of the pain of losing his best friend. So caught up in his own grief and believing he doesn’t deserve to be happy, he compensates by pushing everyone close to him away.

But when Lisa and Gabe meet, there is an instant connection that forces them to question not only their behaviours but their aspirations.

Can a dash of Chanukah magic help Lisa and Gabe realise that sparkling dates and dreamy kisses can lead to more? Perhaps even a lifetime of happiness?

Meet the Author               Joanne Dannon

Joanne Dannon has been living in the world of romance for as long as she can remember.  From doodling love hearts on her school notebooks to regularly reading romances, Joanne’s world has always been filled with the excitement of love stories. So it was just a natural for Joanne to begin writing the genre she’s always loved.

Formerly a policy writer by day and romance writer by night, Joanne now spends full time writing the books she adores. Creating heroes for readers to fall in love with and heroines to cheer on, her characters are people readers can identify with.

Joanne writes to give her readers the experience she still loves to savor—indulging in a sigh-worthy-happily-ever- after, being swept away from the everyday by diving into a delicious romance novel.

Joanne Dannon is a happily married mother of two heroes-in-training who loves spending time with friends and family.  She can be found on Facebook and her website www.joannedannon.com chatting about reading, writing, cooking, vintage-inspired dresses and all things romantic.  She loves to hear from readers.

    1. Aw thanks Tamara!

I spent days creating the hero's backstory which is very complex. Just thinking about it makes me emotional. But it suited the story and gave him depth and strong goal/motivation/ conflict, which is so important in any book.

If you read my novella, I hope you enjoy it :)
