Wanting a Family Man (Raven's Cove Book 3)
He prefers his own company. She longs for family…Cloe Vance had one goal when she learned she’d lost her sister: reach her infant niece. Though unable to assume custody—Cloe is broke, homeless and unemployed—she’s determined to ensure Storm is loved and cared for, even if that means working with her celebrity crush, Trystan Fraser, who doesn’t trust her.
The isolation of Raven’s Cove inspired the wilderness survival series that made Trystan famous. He refused to return until the unexpected death of his father forces him to help his estranged half-brothers refurbish the resort, hoping to secure a future for their infant half-sister. When Storm’s aunt arrives, for once the brothers are aligned…and scared. Does she want Storm or money?
Trystan’s tasked with discovering her motives by hiring Cloe to help with the week-long whale watching excursions. Their chemistry sizzles, yet Trystan resists behaving like his philandering father. In the fall, he’s returning to his globetrotting career. Cloe is a temptation he doesn’t need, but can she teach him that home is where the heart is?

What is the most difficult part of your artistic process?
I always seem to hit a snag in the middle when I realize my hero’s conflict isn’t well-defined. Once I get that figured out, things proceed again.
How long on average does it take you to write a book?
It really depends how long it is. Also, whether I have other deadlines in between. I started a Harlequin Presents recently and got to 24000 in a couple of weeks, but I have to set it aside to work on some other things along with traveling so I expect it will be a good three months before it’s finished.
Who could you envision Chloe and Trystan if this story was turned into a movie?
Cloe is a young Rashida Jones. I don’t have a vision for Trystan. Tall dark and handsome, obviously ☺
Tell us about your book...
Wanting a Family Man is a slow-burn to sexy story about a pair of people who have been hurt by life and are thrown together by the baby that unites them. Trystan is in Raven’s Cove to help his brothers with custody of their half-sister. Cloe turns up to ensure her sister’s baby is safe (she is!) and now Cloe must start her life over. The Fraser brothers don’t know if they can trust her, but Trystan gives her a job on his whale-watching tours.
If you’re in the mood for a bit of heartache and some fun banter and a wonderful romance in a wonderful setting, pick it up!

I think it's not easy to keep finding a new setting for love stories. The idea of the whale watching tours sounds unusual.
ReplyDeleteAll the best and happy October days,
