A Convenient Ring to Claim Her by Dani Collins

Will the billionaire finally say “I do”? Find out in this intense marriage of convenience from USA TODAY bestselling author Dani Collins.

The proposal…
…she vowed never to accept!

Life has taught orphan Quinn Harper to trust only herself. So, whilst her secret fling with billionaire Micah Gould was her first taste of passion, it wasn’t supposed to last forever. Although it gets harder and harder to pull herself away from his bed…

The abominable actions of Micah’s father have left a permanent mark. Love isn’t in his future. Then his relationship with Quinn is suddenly exposed and, in Berlin, a new possibility presents itself. Quinn could be the convenient bride Micah needs…but can he be what
she deserves?

  • What literary pilgrimages have you gone on?

The only pilgrimage I’ve done from an actual story was going to Bruges with my husband because we’re both fans of In Bruges with Colin Farrell. It’s a very dark movie, but a stunningly beautiful city.

  • What is the first book that made you cry?

I honestly don’t remember what it was called. Possibly Red: A Dog (?) I was maybe ten or eleven. The dog befriended a lone wolf and they were pals. At the end, the wolf died in his cave and the dog came along and realized he wasn’t moving. I bawled my eyes out and I’m starting to cry remembering it. This is how I knew I couldn’t take a sad ending, even when it wasn’t tragic, merely the course of life. I’ve been HEA all the way ever since.

  • What is the most unethical practice in the publishing industry?

Oof. One the thing that frustrates me these days is that that authors are creators and we create content for social media in order to drum up interest in our books, yet we still have to ‘pay to play’ in order to have those things seen.

  • Does writing energize or exhaust you?

For the most part, I’m energized if I get my word count in. There have been times in the last few years where I felt very burnt out, but I seem to be coming out of that and I’m excited again.

  • Tell us a little bit about your book...

A Convenient Ring to Claim Her is a best friend’s brother trope. Quinn has been having a secret affair with Micah. They’ve agreed not to tell anyone, but she reveals it (for good reasons) and he is furious. They have a terrific fight and she storms off, then she gets injured and he feels horrible. Who doesn’t love a hero who is tortured by his own bad behavior? They slowly find their way back to each other, but Quinn is ferociously independent and Micah has a past that makes him afraid to love—everyone he loves leave and he doesn’t want Quinn to leave so… what is a man to do? I hope you love them as much as I do
